Project Objectives

  1. To investigate a reconfigurable digital beamforming core that enables on-the-fly selection of a particular beamforming algorithm depending on tissue.
  2. To do a comparative study on the effect of the transmit imaging parameters transmit frequency, focal depth, and transmit angle, on soft and hard tissues.
  3. To propose a cognitive US solution by synergistically combining the proposed transmit and receive beamforming techniques.
