Sound should have the brain and the heart!

Project Objectives:
1.To investigate a reconfigurable digital beamforming core that enables on-the-fly selection of a particular beamforming algorithm depending on tissue.
2.To do a comparative study on the effect of the transmit imaging parameters transmit frequency, focal depth, and transmit angle, on soft and hard tissues.
3.To do a comparative study on the effect of receive imaging parameters attenuation, speed of sound, and receive angle, on soft and hard tissues.
4.To propose a cognitive US solution by synergistically combining the proposed transmit and receive beamforming techniques.
